9-2. PrinterSwitcher

9-2-1. Overview

PrinterSwitcher is a utility used in conjunction with a universal driver. It can automatically search and

add available printing devices from the network, making them immediately available for printing.

These added devices appear in a list of available devices presented to users when printing. This utility

can be downloaded from the Ricoh website.

9-2-2. Specifications

Languages:

 Displays in English only but will run on a Windows OS of any language.

Supported operating systems:

 Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 (x86 and x64), Windows 8 (x86 and

x64) and Windows 8.1 (x86 and x64)

 Windows Server 2000, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008 (x86 and x64), Windows

Server 2008 R2 (x64), Windows Server 2012 (x64) and Windows Server 2012 R2 (x64)

Supported drivers:

Printer Switcher supports only Printer Driver for Universal Print v2.0.0.0 or later. Model-specific

drivers are not supported with Printer Switcher. This is explained on the following webpage:
