9-1-3. Custom Paper Size for the Generic Model

As of Printer Driver for Universal Print v4.0.0.0, Custom Paper Size will be supported when using

Generic Model mode. The following measurement units for width and length are supported:

Printer Driver for Universal Print v4.0.0.0 to v4.4.0.0:

Inches Millimeters

Width 3.55 – 12.00 90.1 – 304.9

Length 5.83 – 23.61 148.0 – 599.8

Printer Driver for Universal Print v4.5.0.0 and later:

Inches Millimeters

Width 2.52 – 13.00 64.0 – 330.2

Length 4.93 – 49.60 125.0 – 1260.0

 As of Printer Driver for Universal Print v4.5.0.0, measurement units for width and length have

been expanded for all of the supported models.

 If a job that includes the unsupported measurement units for a model is submitted, a paper size

mismatch will occur. For example, the MET-C1 supports 3.94 inches to 13.00 inches (100.0 to

330.2 mm) as the width. Therefore, if 2.52 inches (64.0 mm) is specified as the width, a paper size

mismatch will occur.

9-1-4. Generic Model: Bidirectional Communication

As of the Printer Driver for Universal Print (PCL6 v3.7.0.0 or PS v3.8.0.0), the following settings in the

generic UI can be updated via bidirectional communication.

Printer Properties:

 Accessories tab > Options: Duplex, Staple, and Punch

 Paper Size Settings tab > Input Tray/Paper Size Settings

Settings:

 Color / Black and White

 Job Type

 Input Tray

 Document Size

 Print On
