After closing the feed roller unit,

use a damp soft cloth to clean

the two rollers inside the

document feeder cover.

If feed errors continue to occur after you clean the rollers, it may mean that it’s

time to replace the roller set (see the next section).

Note: Always clean the feed rollers after scanning documents that

smear or contain substances that may be transferred to the

rollers.
