First Steps

Prepare the camera for use.

Charging the Battery

The rechargeable battery (DB-90) supplied with the

camera body is not charged at the time of purchase.

Charge the battery in the supplied BJ-9 battery charger

before use.

Place the battery in the charger.

Place the battery label up with the “+” and “–” labels

oriented to match the labels on the charger.

Caution

Be sure the battery is in the correct orientation.

Connect the power cord to the charger, and then

plug in.

The charger lamp will light while the battery

charges. An exhausted battery will recharge in

about ve hours at 25 °C.

Note

If the charger lamp blinks, a battery or charger fault may

have occurred. Unplug the power cord and remove the

battery from the charger.
